Purpose:

You are asked to create an original short educational video explaining a current media story related to business and one of the accounting topics covered during the subject.

Learning outcomes:

Demonstrate an enhanced understanding of accounting concepts and their real-world applications by analysing and relating them to a chosen news item.

Utilise a variety of multimedia tools and techniques to improve the clarity and impact of your presentation.

Develop skills in organising and presenting complex information creatively to engage and inform your audience.

Critilally reflect on how well multimedia elements align with the subject matter and meet the needs of your audience.

Length: Less than 90s

Task requirements:

● Create an original educational video that explains a current media story related to business and one of the accounting topics covered in the subject.

● The video should be no longer than 90 seconds. A 10% penalty will be applied if it exceeds this duration.

● The news item must be from after March 30, 2025.

● Design the video for a vertical video platform (such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts).

● The video must include you speaking and live captions.

● Incorporate appropriate multimedia elements (e.g., text overlays, images, or animations) to enhance the clarity and impact of your presentation.
