LEARNING OUTCOMES:

1.   Critically debate the importance of and approaches to strategic leadership in organisations.

2.   Identify and articulate how strategic leaders can achievestakeholder collaboration to support organisational success.

4.   Produce a comprehensive leadership development plan to enhance career prospects.

Summative Assessment:

The assessment is one piece of work (100% weighted mark) involving the compilation of four mandatory pieces of evidence.

Part 1: Article (Briefing note) (1500 word +/- 10%)

Complete a 1500 word briefing article for a future leader which critically evaluates the approaches that strategic leaders can employ to achievestakeholder collaboration in support of organizational success.

Part 2: Leadership Development Plan

With reference to one of the 4 main Management Professional Bodies below critique and reflect upon your professional development as a leader.

Choose 3 behaviours or values you would consider you would develop as future leaders, complete the leadership development plan template located within the MGT301 assessment support unit.

Part 3: Analysis of Leadership Identity (1000 word +/- 10%)

Complete a 1000 word critical analysis of your leadership identity making reference to the behaviours you evaluated in your leadership development plan. Consider how you will become an authentic leader.

Part 4: LinkedIn Profile

Present a Professional LinkedIn profile which captures your current experiences, skills,

behaviours etc. Add screenshots of your LinkedIn profile to your submission, showing all of the key sections.

Submission of Assessment:

The assignment must be submitted via the Turnitin Dropbox on the Module Canvas Site as a single document containing all 4 parts.

It is advisable to retain a copy of your assignment for you own records.

Your mark and feedback will be made available to you electronically once the internal moderation process has taken place, you should note that at this stage marks are still subject to external examiner and academic board approval.

Referencing your work:

In this institution the Harvard method of referencing is used.

The Harvard method of referring to publications and of arranging references uses the author's name and the date of the publication. References are listed at the end of the text in alphabetical order by author's name. The general format of a journal reference is shown below:

Author's name and initials are listed first, followed by year of publication in brackets. Then there is the title of article and the journal where the article appears, which is underlined or in italics. Finally, state the volume and issue Number (in brackets) along with the pages where the article can be located.
