PROJECT 6:

Individual Portfolio & Reflection

INTRODUCTION

A portfolio is a compilation of materials that  exemplifies skill, qualification, education, training and experience. It provides insight into your personality and work ethic. As a student, your portfolio is a work that is associated with the standards that you are required to learn. It is a collection of work which reflect on what you have  been taught and what you have learned. It is an essential resource to record your developing skills and experience throughout your study. It can be a physical collection of work  includes physical project, report , technical drawing/artwork etc. The digital form of the portfolio (e-portfolio) for example blog comprises a number of content include videos, multimedia presentation, photographs and other digital materials.

A reflection is a sincere examination of ourselves related to personal values, beliefs and experience. It is essential in recognising the progress that one has made; the weaknesses and strengths. Reflection gives the brain an opportunity to pause amidst the chaos, untangle and sort through observations and experiences, consider multiple possible interpretations, and create meaning. This meaning becomes learning, which can then  inform future  mindsets and actions. Thus, improvements can be made. It is also a powerful tool in developing skills, confidence and motivation.
