Content of the assignment report:

1.   Introduction   of   the   Company   (Brief   profile:   Business   of   the   company, sector/industry outlook, financial objectives, size)

2.   Download   the   company’s   annual   balance   sheets,   income   statements   and statements of cash flow for the last two years and save them in one excel file. Data source needs to be clearly referenced.

3. Financial Ratio Analysis

Calculate and interpret the following ratios at least two from each category for last two years. Your write up should include the formulas indicating how you calculated the ratios.   Data   used   needs   to   be   clearly   referenced   (e.g.   from   the   income statement/balance sheet, or other sources).

4. Analysis of the Company Financial statements

Study the financial statements for last two years and analyse the financial position of the business and study the following points:

➢  How much debt the company has relative to equity

➢  How liquid the business is in the short term

➢ What percentage of assets are tangible and what percentage comes from financial transactions?

➢  How long it takes to receive outstanding payments from customers and repay suppliers

➢  How long it takes to sell the inventory the business keeps on hand
