BEMM394 Assignment 3
Business Model Canvas
Individual Assignment
Assignment:
Deliver aBusiness Model CanvasReport on your business idea. The idea you decide to work on can be one of the opportunities you have discovered as a team when working on Assignment 2 (group poster and presentation). However, you have the freedom to choose an idea different from the one you worked on in Assignment 2.
The actual canvas should be supported by an in-depth report which explains, analyses, and discusses each element of the canvas in a coherent and complete way.
In the introduction, you need to provide a sufficient justification of your business idea choice by
demonstrating insightful understanding of the problem and how you are solving it with your idea. Your report should include:
• Introduction of product/service and the problem it addresses.
• Target Market: customer segments (and values delivered for each segment) & competitor differentiation. Tip: try to think who your competitors are as early as possible and analyse one of them in your Assignment 1 (Digital Report).
• Market Research: primary & secondary research findings. Tip: conducting primary research takes time, try to do this as early as possible.
• Marketing Strategy: what relationships will be established with each customer segment and through which channels.
• Situation Analysis: SWOT analysis, Porter’s Five Forces etc. Tip: you can use only one tool which you deem to be the most suitable for your case.
• Operations and Logistics: resources, activities, and partners.
• Business Model: revenue model, pricing, and financial viability.
• Conclusion: desirability, feasibility, and viability of your business opportunity.
• Actual Business Model Canvas.
